Options

Below are examples of typical shoots on offer, although exact details will vary from client to client.

Unlike most photographers, who charge a sitting fee and then have per-print prices added on, I supply all final images on a CD for you to print off or reuse online as often as you wish without incurring any further charges.

A no-oblgation meeting is always a good idea to discuss your requirements and to see whether I'm the right photographer for your project.

The Portrait
Description: Head and shoulders, partial or full body shot. Light and fun, dark and moody, sultry or quirky - a chance to explore different aspects of your personality. In studio with different lighting options, or at your home in your surroundings.

And of course you can bring any props or costumes. The aim is to capture, or create, a sense of who you are, or who you would like to be.

Typical Time: 1 to 2 hours

Portrait - head shot

The Fantasy Portrait
Description: Like The Portrait, but with plenty of computer manipulation to create something no camera could capture. Whether you wish to have a new body, green skin or pointy ears. The only limit is your imagination.

Typical Time: 1½ to 2 hours

Fanstasy portrait

Band or group photography
Description: Photographs of your band or group for promotional and publicity material such as leaflets, brochures, websites, banners and press releases.

Typical Time: dependent on the number and style of shots required

The Portrait Photography Experience
Description: Up to three hours of posing, playing, manipulating images and having fun. Singles, couples, families or groups (and not uncommonly, pets). I bring my laptop along so you can see the photos taken and direct me to straighten teeth, remove moles or turn your skin purple. The disc will include web-ready versions of the final images so you can email your friends and relatives or upload them to your own website, Facebook or other social networking sites, as well as high-resolution, printable versions.

Typical Time: up to 3 hours

Emergency Photography
Description: suddenly find yourself needing to have professional images of your product emailed to a client by the end of the day? Your daughter is dressed up ready for her school prom night or graduation party and your camera is broken? For those last minute, unforeseen crises, give me a call and I'll do my best to help.

Typical Time: As required

Emergency photography

Performance and Event Photography

Preparations

To make the most of the time, it is worth having some thoughts about what kind of photo(s) you would like to have by the end of the session, what you are going to use them for, and who you are likely to share them with.

Things to consider:

Location - indoors or outdoors (not forgetting the weather), at home (which rooms?), work or public places.

Clothes - for example, formal, casual, uniform, fancy dress.

Props - instruments, books, models, hobby items, food, vehicles, hats, toys etc.

People - single, couples, family, friends, work colleagues, band members, fellow enthusiasts or any other combination you can think of.
